Relationship Building

It is no secret that the ACSO has had a tense relationship with our community as of late.  This cannot continue.  We must not let the media and national politicians magnify our emotions in order to divide us any longer.  We share this beautiful county together. We live, work, and raise our families here.  The very same deputy that straps on a duty belt and pins a badge on their chest also coaches your kids’ softball team or volunteers at your community center.  I understand that we base our belief systems upon our current situations and past experiences and believe that when we sit down with one another and communicate where we are coming from we will find that at the core we all want the same things, a professional Sheriff’s Office and a safe community.  We just need to sit at the same table.  As Sheriff I will encourage this conversation.
